Frequently asked questions

What is the problem that Eversync is solving?
Most business operations teams are overwhelmed by manual and reactive management of their day-to-day. This is driven by the lack of tech capacity in operations, forcing teams to resort to inefficient workarounds. But it's not efficient to set up and monitor dozens of dashboards, or even worse, rerun the same analyses every day. We've built Eversync to empower operations teams to manage their operations proactively, move away from firefighting and focus on driving value for the business.
Why do I need monitoring & alerting in operations?
Without that you can easily find yourself in a vicious circle. If operational issues are not identified in time, they generate additional downstream problems that require more frequent firefighting in the day-to-day. More firefighting leads to no time for structural improvements and to more demotivated employees, leaving more issues going unnoticed.
With real-time monitoring and alerting you can quickly identify and resolve incidents, providing peace of mind, saving hours of daily work and ultimately improving the bottom line.
Who is Eversync for?
Eversync is mostly helpful for operations heavy companies that have high operational complexity with lots of interdependencies. It is most valued in companies where teams can generate significant value from fast time-to-action. Eversync is also beneficial for companies where the same analyses have to be completed every day and then tasks to be allocated among various colleagues.
Eversync is function agnostic. Our experience shows that our customers start using Eversync in one function and then expand it to other areas where teams managing the day-to-day operations can benefit from more stability and less firefighting.
How much effort is it to setup?
A few minutes thanks to our in-built integrations with data sources and destinations. We only need a few minutes from a data engineer to connect your relevant data sources. You can then set up your first monitors which will save you significant time already in the first month. There is nothing to lose to give us a try as we also offer a 1-week proof-of-concept (POC) along with a free trial period.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We host Eversync on Amazon Web Services. AWS is an industry leader and provides a highly scalable cloud computing platform with end-to-end security and privacy features built in. We connect  to your data sources using secure connection channels such as VPN, SSH tunnel, IP address whitelisting, AWS Endpoints and equivalent production ready solutions. You can always keep control which data you share with Eversync, the data you share is encrypted at rest, and data access for end users is secured with SSL.
I already use dashboarding tools, how is this different?
These tools are mainly for data visualisation, with limited monitoring & alerting features built in. For instance, you cannot set up complex monitor conditions, you cannot choose from multiple communication channels for alerts (e.g., Slack, Teams) and you cannot orchestrate tasks to various team members. Furthermore, in these visualisation tools there is no incident management feature to resolve events or automation feature to create workflows.
My BI team already created alerts for me, how is this different?
It's great that you already have monitors and alerts set up - it means that you already appreciate the value of proactive operations! Eversync gives you the ability to scale those alerts to new areas of your business, without the need to wait for your data analysts, thus saving time for both business and data teams. Furthermore, in Eversync you can quickly fine-tune the monitors and alerts yourself based on the learnings collected, without depending on the data team. Lastly, in Eversync you can send alerts to any integrated communication platforms, such as Slack or Teams.
I already use workflow automation tools, how is this different?
Eversync is complementary and can enhance your automations in those tools. You can easily set up data-based monitors in Eversync and then trigger actions in these tools with the help of our integrations.
However, if you want to use a simpler tool that doesn't require an expert in your company to manage them, you should use Eversync. In Eversync you can manage operational events E2E in one tool: create monitors, set up alerting, resolve incidents and automate workflows.
I already use incident management tools, how is this different?
These tools are primarily built for technical teams - we've built Eversync with operators in mind. Moreover, these are push-based incident management tools which means that your engineers need to connect to their APIs to push events to them. Because of these points, it's impossible to quickly set up the new monitors and alerts that you have in your mind and your operations team will be always dependent on the engineering team - that usually lack capacity to support.
